This is located in an artificial island created in the sea about 280 metres away from tha beach. A bridge connects the island with the mainland. The building has been designed to look like a sail of an arabian dhow. It is said to be the tallest building in the world, which is built excusively as a Hotel. This building has become a landmark in the city and a symbol for Dubai. The atrium in this building is 180 meters tall.

WOW! I want to go in that hotel. Well, i hope i can afford it! :D
What;s the construction noise like there? In Qatar it is hard to sleep - you wake up sometimes to the sound of a jack hammer so loud it is as if it is in your bedroom. For some reason they start work at about 3.00 am in the morning.
I haven't heard noise construction from this building before. I've been inside and they have such delicious pastries/scones with afternoon tea. You can see the whole view from the building.
